MOCO Recycling

Improving recycling and garbage-handling in the county through an app
Inspired by my own research on the recycling processes and work conditions of garbage workers within Montgomery County, I initiated this app design called MOCO Recycling. Based on my research, I was inspired to create a mobile-app solution that could improve the recycling and garbage management in my county and while also improving the work experience for our garbage workers.
The app has three main features: a gamification system, an item scanner, and an extra-tips section (which highlights ways to improve the work environment for our garbage handlers). The app was designed to offer a user-friendly experience with a clear user flow.
